Every girl and woman deserves access to cervical cancer screening and treatment and to feel supported at every step of the journey.
This Cervical Cancer Awareness Month should be a call to action for us. With approximately 5,800 new cases and 3,600 deaths annually, the numbers alone show the urgency and the scale of work that still needs to be done.
Cervical cancer remains a major public health challenge in Kenya, ranking as the second most common cancer among women and the leading cause of cancer-related deaths, largely driven by the HPV virus.
However, the story doesn’t end there. At Savannah Informatics, we are committed to being part of the solution, working alongside trusted partners who believe in turning intention into action.
Through initiatives such as EMPOWER, we are digitizing the entire cervical (and breast) cancer patient journey. From screening and diagnosis to treatment and survivorship. Ensuring real-time data flow into the National Cancer Registry, in collaboration with the NATIONAL CANCER INSTITUTE OF KENYA (NCI-K), Roche and Savannah Global Health Institute (SGHI).
Taking action today means protecting the future of our girls and women.
